Ms. Figueroa is a professional violinist currently residing in the North Texas community. In 2019 she joined the Plano Symphony Orchestra and also holds membership and performs regularly with the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale and the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra.
She is passionate about orchestral performing and has coached many students to succeed in their own auditions such as the Golden Isles Youth Orchestra, The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, and their Texas Regions Orchestra.
Ms. Figueroa holds a membership with the Texas Music Educators Association and regularly attends violin workshops to advance her skills both musically and academically. In the summer of 2019, Ms. Figueroa was invited to be a Teaching Fellow for the program Teaching Artists International, on their training, teaching, and performing seminars in the Balkans and later in Trujillo, Peru. She gained valuable experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and gained insight into how other musicians from both the U.S. and outside of the country collaborate with one another to help their students achieve their highest potential and to feel like they have a second home in their community music programs.
Ms. Figueroa is most fond of performing classical symphonies but she frequently has thrilling opportunities to perform other genres of music as well. She travelled out of the country with the Hollywood Concert Orchestra, on their 2015 two-week-long China Tour of 14 different cities, performing selections from some of Hollywood’s most dear and memorable works. She has also played in several 1000 seating venues such as the American Airlines Center and the Dallas Opera House, performing on touring artists concerts such as Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, TwoCellos, and the Tran Siberian Orchestra.
Ms. Figueroa holds a Masters Degree in Violin Performance from the University of North Texas and a Bachelors Degree in Violin Performance from the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University.
