Studio Policy '20-'21

                                                Figueroa Lesson Policy ’20-‘21

Attendance:

Students must make every attempt possible to alert me a minimum of 12 hours in advance of an absence/lesson conflict. If notified less than the above time, it is to my discretion whether or not the absence is excused. If late to the lesson, only the remaining time will be granted.  If a student is sick, I will either provide a make-up lesson within the month, or I will not charge for the missed lesson and the student will receive a lesson credit.

Make-up Lessons:

If I miss a student’s allotted lesson time due to a concert, travel, illness, etc. I will make every attempt to reschedule the student’s missed lesson. If unable to provide a makeup lesson, the student will receive a lesson credit towards the next month’s lesson fees. If the student forgets the agreed upon make-up lesson time, the lesson is forfeit.

Expectations:

Student must be reachable via email within a reasonable timeframe. Student should arrive on-time and always be respectful of teacher and peers. I will only provide music that is both manageable for each student’s individual skill level and practice availability in mind. If the student wishes to work on orchestra music or audition preparation, I am happy to help them gain confidence on this material at any time.

Payment Options:

Contact me for lesson rates. Optional lengths are 30min, 45min, and 1hour time slots. There is a monthly fee that slightly varies depending on the exact number of lessons provided any given month. Payments are due at the beginning of the month, between the 1st-3rd. I will email an invoice one week before payment is due, and provide an in-app reminder 3 days before the deadline.

            Accepted forms of E-payments:

                        -Zelle (send to: sarahfig629@yahoo.com)

                        -Venmo (@Sarah-Figueroa-10)

                        -PayPal (sarahfig629@yahoo.com)

*this option provides opportunity for automatic billing service

Withdrawal:

One-on-one lessons involve teamwork. Students should consult with the teacher if they are considering discontinuing lessons to make sure there are not areas that can be resolved. If a student must withdraw from lessons, in addition to providing  a written 30-day notice, I would like to know the reason for their withdrawal.
